Information You Provide Through the WRT Media App

When you register in the WRT Media app, we ask for your name and phone number.

We use this information to identify your account, show your name on the Bible Quiz leaderboard, contact Bible Quiz winners, and respond to feedback or support requests.

When you submit feedback in the app, we receive what you write in that form.

When you answer a Bible Quiz question, we receive your answer along with your registration ID so your score can appear on the leaderboard.

Technical Information Collected by the App

The WRT Media app may collect technical details about your device so that we can support users, identify app issues, and recognise the same device later.

This may include device manufacturer, brand and model, operating system version and API level, app package name and version, device country and language setting, and a one-way hash derived from your phone number and device details.

The app does not read your SIM number, IMEI, contacts, photos, location, call history, or message history.

App Usage Analytics

The WRT Media app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage information. This helps us understand which languages, programmes, screens, and features are being used.

Analytics may include selected language, programmes played and listening duration, quiz activity, screens opened, and a random installation ID.

Your name and phone number are not sent to analytics.

Crash and Error Reports

The WRT Media app uses Firebase Crashlytics to understand and fix app crashes and errors.

Crash reports may include error details, stack trace, device model, operating system version, app version, and media file address when playback fails.

Crash reports do not contain your name or phone number.

Notifications

If notifications are enabled in the WRT Media app, your device registers a messaging token through Firebase Cloud Messaging. The app may subscribe your device to topics such as new episodes, new quizzes, new videos, and your chosen language.

We use notifications only for announcements related to Word Resounds Today content. We do not use notifications for advertising.

Information Kept Only on Your Device

Some app information remains only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

This may include language preference, bookmarks, downloaded audio files, listening position, quiz history, listening streaks and badges, and app settings such as theme, text size, and reminder times.

Donations and Payment Information

When you make a donation through our website, payment details may be required to process your donation.

This may include credit card information, bank account details, or other payment-related information.

Online donations are processed through Razorpay. Payment information is handled according to Razorpay's own Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy (see Third-Party Services below for the link to Razorpay's Privacy Policy).

Word Resounds Today does not store your full card or bank payment details on its own website systems.

How We Store and Secure Your Information

We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure.

Information voluntarily shared through forms on our website is kept secure and is not made available to anyone outside Word Resounds Today except where required to operate our services, process payments, comply with law, or respond to your request.

In the WRT Media app, your name, phone number, and registration ID are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage. On Android this uses secure storage backed by the Android Keystore, and on iOS it uses the iOS Keychain.

Your registration record (name, phone number, and registration ID) may also be stored on our servers so that Bible Quiz scores and leaderboard features work across app reinstalls. Server-stored data is protected using access controls and encryption in transit, and is accessible only to authorised personnel who need it to operate these features.

Audio and video content is delivered over encrypted connections where applicable. The app does not permit unencrypted cleartext network traffic.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our website, app, payments, analytics, video playback, and notifications.

These may include Razorpay for donation and payment processing, Google Analytics for Firebase for anonymous app usage statistics, Firebase Crashlytics for crash and error diagnostics, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, YouTube and Google for video playback and video listings, and Google Play Services for app updates and in-app review.

When you play a video through the app or website, it may load from YouTube. YouTube may collect viewing information and may use cookies according to Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

The WRT Media app does not show advertising.

The app removes the Android advertising identifier, so it cannot be used for ad targeting or cross-app tracking.

Word Resounds Today does not sell your information and does not use your personal information for advertising.

Children

Our website and app carry Bible teaching and related Christian content intended primarily for a general, adult audience — our Bible Quiz and other participatory features are not directed at children, though on occasion a teenager may take part on their own.

If you are under 18, please do not register or submit your name, phone number, or any other identifying information unless a parent or guardian has given you permission to do so. By registering, you confirm that you are either 18 years of age or older, or that a parent or guardian has given you permission to participate.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove the record.

Managing Your Information and Data Deletion

You may contact us to request a copy of the information we hold about you, correct your information, change your contact preferences, or request deletion of your personal data.

If you wish to request deletion of your data from our systems, please contact us through the form on the Home Page or by email.

We will process deletion requests — whether for app registration records or information submitted through our website (such as contact, feedback, or donation forms) — within 30 days, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain certain records (for example, donation records needed for accounting or legal compliance).

Uninstalling the WRT Media app removes locally stored data from your device, including encrypted registration details, downloaded audio, bookmarks, preferences, listening history, quiz history, and app settings.

Donation-related records may be retained as required for accounting, legal, and compliance purposes.
